Collared Dove babies.

In March I posted information about the Collared Doves who had pared up in my garden. Have a look at the photo and post here . Today, I am able to report some success, two fully grown squabs were in the garden hidden in a Torbay Palm amongst the fronds and dead branches. The parents came and fed them while I watched and without disturbing them too much I took this photo of one of the new arrivals! I am glad that they have the good sense to stay high away from the local marauding cats who are a menace. I will keep you posted as to there progress. At both ends of the wildlife spectrum we had a Buzzard fly over the garden late afternoon, it was being harassed by a Herring Gull. A tiny attractive Holly Blue Butterfly. Cl_close_up1_2
