I would be pleased with myself if I could put a name to this immature Sunbird that I photographed this evening. Having checked with the images on the field guide that I have with me there is nothing to compare. If you know please let me know. There will be more words added to this post tomorrow.
Its been another great day with lots of birds seen and photographed but also some real excitement as we watched Cape Fur Seals in the harbour at Hout Bay.
This was followed by yet another endemic and of course a first for me, a Cape Cormorant.
Swift Tern, a species that I also photographed off Nogombo, Sri Lanka in November. Good to see tham again. This time flying to drink from a fresh water pool adjacent to the sea.
