When I arrived this morning it was quiet and there was no sign or sight of a Kingfisher Concealing myself quickly I then checked my watch. It was exactly 12 minutes before I heard a Kingfisher and then saw one. Firstly a bird left the burrow and then 2 birds entered one after the other. Minutes later I heard constant calling and I could see who was responsible, it was the male who was sitting on what I already know is his usual place beneath the nest on the muddy boulders. Even though he was a accross the river from me I managed to get a nice cropped image of him. I only stayed in the hide for 35 minutes today but I just needed to reassure myself that everything is safe and well.
