Having checked my calendar, I realised that the Dipper nest that I had found last month should contain young birds about to fledge. When I got there it was obvious that everything had progressed really well and the young dippers were still in the nest and being fed by both parents who were visiting the nest every few minutes with beaks full of food. Items included small fish, and various invertebrates.
I have photographed a Dipper with a small fish before so I wasn't surprised to see small fish being brought to the nest. I can't see what species of fish this is.
